Some dogs are of such quality and longevity in the show ring that they are awarded many more Challenge Certificates than the three required to become a UK Champion, arguably one of the most difficult champion titles to achieve in the world. These all-time top winning dogs were/are regularly seen in Toy Group or BIS line-ups and serve to build recognition and admiration for English Toy Terriers as a breed.
Top Stud Dogs
A male dog that is capable of stamping his type and quality consistently into his offspring is very valuable to any breeding program and to the breed in general. These dogs need to be recognised as great contributors to the future of the breed. There is one male line stretching back through Ch Juleko Henry James, Ch. Quinoa Dolphin, Ch. All Gold Of Lenster and right back to Junka in the early 1900’s that has produced around 250 Champions in the breed. Those pre-potent males that are capable of producing top offspring with any bitch, even those of lesser quality are to be prized.
