The Rules of the Club allow the Committee to appoint individuals who have made a significant contribution to the breed to three ex-officio (more generally known as honorary) positions. These are;
- Up to 2 Club Patrons, which are lifetime appointments
- The Club President, who serves a three year term of office
- The Club Vice President, who serves a one year term of office

CLUB PATRON
Ruth Kitson (Quinoa)
Ruth and her late mother Petronelle acquired their 1st ETT in 1967 and went on to make up 12 Champions in the 1980’s and 90’s. Their Quinoa dogs feature on the lines of many of todays top dogs. In addition to breeding and exhibiting Ruth made a huge contribution to the ETT Club. She was a Committee member for many years, filling many positions including Cup Steward, Thumbprints Editor (1977- 88) and Club Archivist (1995-2019). She was Club President from 2006-09, and was appointed Club Patron in 2021.

CLUB PATRON
John Richardson (Reeberrich)
Johnny acquired his 1st show dog, a CKCS, in 1975 and his 1st ETT in 1985. There were 12 ETT Champions from the Kennel, 10 Champions in 4 other breeds, and CC winners in a further 2. He was a Club Committee member for several years, using his media experience to lead on Marketing, PR and the Club stand at Crufts. He wrote 4 Club Handbooks, produced the original Book Of ETT Champions in 1990, and lent his extensive breed knowledge to the compiling of the 2025 update . He is always happy to provide advice to ETT owners. He was appointed Club Vice-President in 2020, Club President since 2023, and Patron in 2025.

CLUB PRESIDENT
Maurice Graham-Weall (Phidgity)
Maurice and his late wife Caroline have a family history in ETTs going back to the 1950’s. Although best known for their Dalmations they expanded into ETTs in 2006 and went on to breed or exhibit 3 ETT Champions. They were both ETT Club Committee members with Carrie serving several years as Club Secretary. Although Maurice no longer breeds or exhibits he rarely misses the Club’s annual November championship show and Annual awards events . Maurice was appointed Vice President in 2023, and Club President in 2025.

CLUB VICE-PRESIDENT
John Geraghty (Manyork)
John owns the Manyork Kennel which was active in ETTs from 1993-2010. He bred 11 litters 24 ETTs which included Ch Manyork Matt Black and Ch Manyork Mr Oliver. He has judged ETTs at several UK Champ Shows and at the World Terrier Show. He is a former ETT Club Committee member and Treasurer. He was elected Vice President in 2025.
