Critique:
Thank you to the committee for inviting me to judge the SAC and to the exhibitors for their support and good sportsmanship. I have truly grown to love this breed and watch the classes with great interest. It is lovely to see a breed that is generally presented in good order with exhibitors who are passionate and knowledgeable. May I also take this opportunity to thank the devotees who have acted as educators and mentors along my journey in learning about and judging the breed.
Class A. Jnr D/B 3/2ab
- 36- Regal River Big Bad She Wolf. Owned by Mrs. C. Marsden. Br/Exh. 13mth old bitch of a nice size, proportion and outline. She is well balanced, in good coat and condition. Correct head shape, with good jaw and tight lips. Strong detention. Dark eyes that are almond shaped & correctly set. Ears well set on, good shape and used to effect giving the required alert expression. Nicely made fore and rear with desired foot shape and black nails. Good tail set and top line which was held on the move. Moved out with ease and style.

- 39- Ettology Small Gods of Pendlethrine. Owned by Mrs. C. Pendlebury. Br. Mrs. Z. Philips. 22mth old Dog who presented a lovely outline and in tiptop condition. Lovely black glossy coat with good tan in all required areas and displaying the desired thumb prints. He displayed the alert, terrier like character that is necessary for breed type. Correct wedge shaped head, lovely dark eye and well set and shaped ears. Good length of neck leading into a well laid shoulder, straight front and well arched feet. Compact body and well balanced rear. Moved well holding his topline.
- 42- Wykewoks Autumnal Sunsetta of Pendlethrine.Owned by Mrs. C. Pendlebury. Br. Mrs. C. Kirton. 20mth old Bitch. Kennel mate to 1. Again presented in tiptop condition. Lovely shape and size. Wedge shaped head with lovely ear set, dark sparkling almond eye giving great expression. Well muscled, compact body. Narrow chest leading to a well cut up loin. Rear assembly good with well turned stifle and good hocks. Just preferred the overall presence of 1.

- 44- Witchstone Won’t Be Silent by Richpin. Owners Pevy & Leonard Mr. R & Mr. A. Br. Mr. N Gourley & Mr. A Leonard. 2yr old Dog who was a picture standing and on the move. He displayed all my requirements for breed type. Beautiful wedge shaped head. Strong jaw with correct dentition. Close fitting tight lips. Dark eyes and correctly placed and shaped ears, giving the alert terrier like expression. Compact in body and balanced fore and rear. He was in good coat and body, giving a sleek elegant look, which he carried on the move.
- 35- Witchstone Follow The Dream with Tettoy. Owner Mrs. V. Love. Br. Mr. N. Gourley & Mr. A. Leonard. 61/2 yr old Dog. Another lovely balanced dog with the signature breed type produced by his breeders. Gleaming black and tan coat topped off his compact, well conditioned body. Correct throughout his head. Straight front with the signature penciling and thumbprints to neat feet and legs. Well angulated rear produced drive on the move. My winner just had the edge today on performance.
