Critique
I would like to extend my sincere thanks to the ETT Club committee for inviting me to judge the first of this year’s Club Open Shows. I am also deeply grateful to the exhibitors for their entries and support. It was a real pleasure to assess your dogs, and I thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity.
Puppy Dog (5,1)
1. ROSKELL & WOOD, MRS B & MR J. – NASABE SPECIAL BREW IN RAHIMA Correct wedge-shaped head and flat skull, scissor bite. Dark eyes, well set ears. Hocks well let down. Glossy coat and well-muscled . Moved well on the go round.
2. WARREN, MRS T & MR J M L – RHYMSWELL FIELDS OF GOLD Nice size, good wedge-shaped head, dark eyes and ears set well. Markings okay. Moved okay.

Junior Dog (3,1)
1. CADMAN & JARVIS, MR P & MS D – PIPPAHOUSE TINY SHADDOW Pleasing wedge-shaped head with slight stop. Good eye. Nice shape, elegant. Topline good. Chest narrow and ribs well sprung. Good turn of stifle and hocks well let down.
2. PENDLEBURY, MRS C – ETTOLOGY SMALL GODS OF PENDLETHRINE Wedge shaped head, good, compact size. Deep chestnut colour. Straight front. Moved ok.
Post Graduate Dog (3,1)
1. HOWARD, MR D & MRS C – LASAGESSE JUMPIN JACK FLASH Moved well coming and going with good extension. Wedge shaped head and flat skull. Ears high up on back of skull. Scissor bite. Good coat, markings okay. Straight front, elbows close to chest.
2. THORNE, MR R & MRS L – ETTOLOGY MR KIPLING APPLE PIE AT WINKLEFRED Nice size. Good coat, markings okay. Ears set well on top of head. Narrow wedge shaped head. Slightly distracted today so didn’t move his best.
Limit Dog (6,0)
1. ROSKELL, MISS C – WITCHSTONE SILENT WISH WITH RAHIMA JW Pleasing wedge shaped head, flat skull. Good deep chestnut tan, markings okay. Dark almond shaped eye. Ears set up high on back of skull. Body compact, toned and well balanced. Good tail set. Moved well out and back which just pinched it on the day. (Reserve Best Dog)
2. PEVY & LEONARD MR R & MR A – WITCHSTONE WON’T BE SILET BY RICHPIN A close second. Good wedge-shaped head. Candle flame ears set well on skull. Lovely topline and good tail set. Elegant and good size. Could easily swap places on a different day.
3. PARTINGTON-PALMER & PALMER, MRS C E & MR L R – ETRURIA HEAR THE WORD
Open Dog (7,0)
1. IMRIE, MRS W – CH. AMALRIC BUTCH CASSIDY JW Balanced wedge shaped head. Long and narrow, good in both profile and in front. Dark almond eye. Strong jaw with scissor bite, high set ears. Balanced outline. Straight front, well sprung ribs. Loins well cut up, good body condition, good markings and colour. Moved well both ways. (Best Dog)
2. DENNISON, MR K – CH. ETTOLOGY BOUNTEOUS BARNEY JW Nice size and shape, well toned. Good wedge shaped head, ears carried high on back of skull. Moved well coming and going with good extension.

Balanced and proportionate. Strong, wedge shaped head. Good eye. Long arched neck flowing into top line curving slightly into a correct tail set. Hocks well let down. Moves with drive and extension. (Best Veteran).

2. IMRIE & LEONARD, MRS W & MR A – FERA-MINIS ARGANTE OF AVALON WITH WITCHSTONE Ideal small size and shape. Small dark eye, well shaped candle flame ears. Elegant neck and typical topline creating an appealing picture.

1. LEONARD, MR A – WITCHSTONE LIMITED EDITION Ideal size. Petite. Compact. Good colour and markings. Refined. Narrow wedge shaped head. Small dark eye. Candle flame ears. Good bend of stifle. Good topline. Classic shape when stood. Movement okay.
2. HALL & OAKDEN, MS D A & MR A – SPAWOOD PROUD MARY WITH GHILGRANG Good size, Balanced. Pleasing wedge shaped head. Good dark eye. Good ear set. Good bend of stifle. Glossy coat, in good condition. Moved well out and back.

2. INCH, MS C & MISS R – EDALENE SCOOPS AHOY Pleasing overall shape and compact in size. Nice wedge shaped head, lighter in tan than 1. Good, candle flame ears set high on back of skull. Arched neck flowing into good proportions. Movement good. Glossy thick coat.

1. LEONARD, MR A – WITCHSTONE SILENT PRAYER Ideal compact size, full of breed type. Narrow wedge-shaped head, flat skull, small dark eye with a wicked glint. Candle flame ears. Graceful arched neck into well laid shoulders, straight front. Shapely outline. Gently curved topline and well set tail, carried low on the move. Balanced Deep black coat with rich chestnut tan. Correct extended front action, she moved around the ring with purpose and drive today.
2. INCH, MRS C & MISS R – EDALENE COURT AND SPARK JW Elegant outline, compact and well balanced. Lovely wedge-shaped head and flat skull. Ears set well on back of skull. Well laid shoulders and straight front. Nice overall shape. Moved well. Good glossy thick coat.

2. INCH, MRS C & MISS R – EDALENE NEVER LET ME GO VW Bigger in size than one and tan has faded now, nice wedge shaped head and flat skull, good depth of chest. Moved well, still enjoying strutting her stuff around the ring.
Special Beginners Bitch (5,1)
1. GREENWOOD JOHNSON, MS H – MORETONIA ROYAL WREN Wedge shaped head, balanced outline, pleasing expression. Good eye and ears set well. Nice overall shape, good topline. Glossy coat. Elbows close to chest Good turn of stifle. Moved okay.
