Special Awards Classes
Many thanks to the Club for the invitation to judge the Special Award classes at their show today. There were some lovely dogs which made my task challenging and I thoroughly enjoyed my time there. Always nice to see puppies of such quality. Also, thanks to the exhibitors who allowed me to judge their dogs.
Class A. Special Awards Junior Dog / Bitch.
1. Forsythe, Pevy & Leonard’s Witchstone Won’t be Silent at Richpin. Puppy dog with nice strong head, dark nicely almond shaped eyes and great ears which he used well. Nice straight front and well bent stifle. Lovely for overall size, angulation and balance, moving well and held his topline on the move.
2. Dean-Armitt’s Twowayshouse Touch of Class. Another puppy, she is very shapely and feminine with a nice shaped head though her ears were a little lax. She out moved the rest of the class, moving really well today with good extension and drive.
Class B. Special Awards Post Graduate Dog / Bitch.
1. Wines’ Etruria Say the Word. What a lovely puppy dog with fabulous outline. Nice wedge shaped head and good ear carriage, lovely reach of neck with arch to give that elegance and strength. Good angulation with nice lay-back of shoulder and good turn of stifle to match, to provide the good balance and movement. Excellent potential
Class C.
1. Dennison’s Ch. Ettology Bounteous Bar-ney Jw Mature boy, overall picture shows a fit alert terrier, well muscled and moved with the required extended trot and good rear drive. Great wedge shaped head and well set ears. Graceful neck and well laid shoulders that supported the good reach in his movement
2. Haffenden & Wood’s Naseby Play the Game Jw Another quality exhibit, she has a nice feminine head and neat candle flame shaped ears, nice straight front and a good lay of shoulders flowing into her lovely topline and nice tail set. Challenging decision, I just preferred the alertness and movement of 1 today.
