THE ENGLISH TOY TERRIER (BLACK & TAN) CLUB

Breed Appreciation Day (BAD) 3 may 2026

The Club held a very successful Breed Appreciation Day at Mapleborough Village Hall in Warwickshire on 3rd May. 22 people heard presentations on the Breed History and the extended Breed Standard, with 19 going on to do the Multiple Choice exam. For the 2nd year running everyone who did the MCE passed. After lunch there was a mentoring session attended by several very experienced ETT owners and breeders. ETT Club BEC Richard Forsythe did a grand job in making all the practical arrangements for the day including putting on his chef’s hat to share the catering duties with his partner Ryan Pevy. Thanks also to Nick Gourley for again doing the Breed Standard presentation and to Dee Blatchford/John Francis for bringing their ETTs along for the mentoring session. The feedback from attendees has been universally positive with several indicating that ‘ this was the Best Bad Ive attended ‘ and that ‘this was the best catering at any Bad I’ve attended ‘. Good presentations and good food are the recipe for a great day out.
